Robert Rosales, PhD
Assistant Professor of Behavioral & Social Sciences, Brown University School of Public Health
Expertise: Licensed Clinical Social Worker; alcohol use and consequences; access to behavioral health care; ethnoracial minority health disparities
Dr. Robert Rosales received his doctorate in social work from the Boston College School of Social Work in 2018. He completed his clinical internship at the Boston Medical Center and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University’s Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies. He is committed to helping eliminate health and health service disparities among ethnoracial minorities in the United States. His research specifically looks at how discrimination at multiple levels (e.g., between people, in the community, and at the federal and state levels) make it difficult for ethnoracial minorities to access care and live healthy lives. Alongside his research, Dr. Rosales serves as a clinician for Spanish and English-speaking adults and families who struggle with substance use and mental health issues.
