Seeking Community Resources?

Supporting the health and well-being of people who struggle to reduce their substance use and their loved ones is important to us and critical to our mission. Below we provide a partial list of clinical services for individuals and families within Rhode Island and the broader southern New England area. This list isn’t meant to serve as a comprehensive directory of all available services, and we neither partner with nor endorse any of the service providers listed below except Bradley Vista.

If you’d like assistance locating services on a national level, SAMHSA’s National Helpline — 1-800-662-HELP (4357) — is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism created The Navigator, an easy to use and informative resource for adults seeking alcohol treatment for themselves or a loved one.

  • Resources Education Support Together (REST)

34 Mathewson Street, Providence, RI 02903

REST is changing the narrative and redefining the role of families who struggle with a Loved One's Substance Use Disorder. The challenge for the family is to learn to influence and direct a Loved One into treatment, recovery, or simply a better life. They achieve this through education, cultivating new skills and strategies, and at the same time learning to address their own needs. Rethinking and reclaiming popular catch phrases like "powerlessness," "hitting rock bottom," "tough love," and "enabling," are core elements in empowering families to overcome stigma and shame, and discover better coping skills.
